Zenith Bank has continued to strengthen its support for education in Nigeria through sustained investments in digital learning facilities, scholarships, and infrastructure development across schools and universities.

The bank’s education-focused initiatives span several states, providing students with access to modern learning tools, improved facilities, and opportunities for academic advancement.

Expanding Digital Learning Across Nigeria

One of the key areas of focus has been digital education. Zenith Bank has established ICT centres and computer laboratories in various institutions to promote digital literacy and equip students with skills required in a technology-driven global economy.

For instance, a computer centre donated to Bamaina Academy in Dutse has helped students gain access to technology in a region where digital learning tools were previously limited.

Similarly, the bank provided ICT facilities and computers to several universities, including Ebonyi State University, University of Nigeria Nsukka, Ambrose Alli University, Mountain Top University, and Veritas University Abuja.

At Lagos State University in Ojo, the bank also developed an ultra-modern ICT centre designed to improve digital learning and research capacity.

Improving School Infrastructure

Beyond digital facilities, Zenith Bank has invested in the renovation and construction of educational infrastructure across Nigeria.

At Ojota Secondary School in Lagos, the bank renovated classrooms and upgraded learning facilities to create a safer and more conducive environment for students.

Victoria Island Secondary School also benefited from major renovation projects aimed at improving learning conditions for public school students.

In Taraba State, the bank constructed vocational training bungalows to equip young Nigerians with practical skills that can lead to employment and entrepreneurship.

Supporting Scholarships and Financial Assistance

To reduce financial barriers to education, Zenith Bank has also provided scholarships and funding support for students in several institutions.

At Louisville Girls High School in Ijebu-Itele, Ogun State, the bank donated funds to support learning facilities and a sports complex, helping to expand opportunities for female students.

The bank also established a scholarship endowment fund at Francis Catholic Secondary School, aimed at supporting students from underprivileged backgrounds.

In addition, educational support was extended to programmes such as the North-East Children’s Fund, which helps students in conflict-affected areas continue their studies.

Promoting Financial Literacy

Zenith Bank has complemented its infrastructure projects with a nationwide financial literacy programme designed to educate students about saving, budgeting, and responsible financial management.

Through the initiative, students across Nigeria are introduced to basic financial concepts that can help them make informed economic decisions later in life.

Strengthening Nigeria’s Human Capital

Education experts say corporate investments in learning infrastructure and digital tools are essential for preparing young Nigerians for future opportunities in a rapidly changing global economy.

By supporting ICT development, scholarships, and vocational training, Zenith Bank’s initiatives are helping expand access to quality education while strengthening Nigeria’s human capital development.

Analysts note that such long-term investments not only improve educational outcomes but also contribute to national economic growth by producing a more skilled and competitive workforce.
