Tinubu Says Nigeria Transitioning from Economic Hardship to Stability and Growth

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated that Nigeria is gradually emerging from a period of economic survival and moving toward economic stability, with prospects of long-term prosperity.

This remarks were made on Friday while speaking at the 4th Elective National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held in Abuja.

Stating the achievements of his administration, the president pointed to what he explained as visible and measurable outcomes from various government programmes. According to him, the testimonies shared by beneficiaries reflect the real impact of ongoing initiatives. Tinubu dismissed criticism from opposition figures, insisting that his government’s policies are practical and delivering results. He maintained that the country is steadily progressing from a difficult phase toward a more prosperous future.

The president also used the occasion to address young Nigerians, encouraging them to take a more active role in governance and political engagement. He described the youth as a vital force in shaping the nation’s future. He emphasized that the creativity, innovation, and digital skills of young people remain critical assets for national development. Tinubu noted that their energy and entrepreneurial drive are essential for building a stronger economy.

Calling on his party to do more, Tinubu urged the APC to expand opportunities for youth participation in leadership and decision-making processes. He stressed that young people should not only be included symbolically but should play meaningful roles in governance.

He further stated that nurturing a generation of politically active, disciplined, and committed young leaders is key to achieving the country’s long-term goals, adding that Nigeria’s future cannot be secured without placing young citizens at the centre of its development agenda.
