Nigeria’s Ambassador-designate to the Kingdom of Spain, Okezie Ikpeazu, has expressed gratitude to Alex Otti, Governor of Abia State, for his congratulatory message following the former governor’s recent diplomatic appointment.
In a statement released through his media adviser, Enyinnaya Appolos, Ikpeazu acknowledged the governor’s gesture and thanked him for the goodwill extended to him on behalf of his family, the government and the people of Abia State.
The former governor described the message as a demonstration of enduring statesmanship and a sign of the collective commitment of leaders across different administrations to collaborate in the interest of the state and the nation.
Ikpeazu noted that such gestures highlight the importance of unity and cooperation among public officials, regardless of political differences, in advancing development and national progress.
He also assured Governor Otti and the people of Abia State that he would approach his new diplomatic responsibilities with dedication and professionalism.

Ikpeazu was recently appointed by the Federal Government as Nigeria’s Ambassador-designate to Spain, where he is expected to represent and advance Nigeria’s interests.
