Nigerian actor Kunle Remi has shared an emotional testimony about the birth of his daughter, revealing that she was born prematurely at just 26 weeks.
The Nollywood star recounted the experience during a recent church service, where he spoke about the challenging journey surrounding the arrival of his daughter, whom he named Wonder — a name he said reflects the “wonders of God.”
According to the actor, the baby was born after spending barely six months in her mother’s womb, a situation that left the family facing uncertain odds about her survival.
Despite the early delivery and the medical risks associated with extreme prematurity, the child survived and continued to grow stronger. Remi explained that his daughter spent more than three months outside the womb before she could be considered fully developed.
During the testimony, the actor also revealed that he had initially planned to document the pregnancy journey because of his background as a filmmaker.
“Before the birth of Wonder, I said I was going to document everything because I’m a filmmaker, but God laughed,” he said in the emotional video.
A short documentary capturing moments surrounding the birth was also shared, moving many members of the congregation and viewers online.
