A popular Nigerian Lawyer and politician Kenneth Okonkwo has called on Nigerians to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), saying the party provides a platform to address the country’s pressing political and economic challenges.

Okonkwo, a former spokesman for the presidential campaign of the Labour Party (Nigeria), said his decision to align with the ADC was influenced by the party’s constitutional commitment to the welfare of Nigerians.

In a video shared on his account on X (social media platform), the veteran Nollywood actor explained that the party’s guiding principles focus on promoting the well-being of citizens and the overall development of the nation.

According to him, Nigeria has endured significant hardship in recent years, largely due to insecurity and poor governance. He argued that the ADC intends to provide an alternative path aimed at addressing these challenges.

Okonkwo described his move to the party as part of a broader effort to reposition the country and encouraged Nigerians who share similar concerns to support the political movement.

He warned that the country may struggle to cope with another four years of persistent issues such as rising fuel prices, insecurity and corruption.

The politician also criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), suggesting that the country may not be able to withstand another term under its leadership.

Okonkwo maintained that the ADC is committed to offering solutions and urged citizens to join the party in what he described as a collective effort to rescue Nigeria from its current difficulties.
