Kano Pillars Forward, Ahmed Musa has expressed confidence that Kano Pillars can secure a positive result against Niger Tornadoes in their Matchday 30 encounter in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The fixture is scheduled to take place at the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna on Sunday.
Kano Pillars head into the match determined to build on their recent victory over Barau FC as they continue their push to move away from the relegation zone.
The Kano-based side currently sit just two points above the drop zone with 35 points and are keen to improve their standing on the league table as the season approaches its final stages.
Ahead of the clash, Musa shared an optimistic message on his social media page, expressing hope that Minna will once again prove favourable for his team.
“Minna be nice to us (Kano Pillars),” the former Super Eagles captain wrote.
However, Kano Pillars will be mindful of their previous meeting with Niger Tornadoes at the same venue last season, when they suffered a narrow 3–2 defeat.
On that occasion, veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali and Auwalu Naziru scored for Kano Pillars, while Kufre Ebong, Ismail Sarki, and Joseph Godstime were on target for Niger Tornadoes.
