Popular Nigerian content creator and streamer Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, widely known online as Jarvis, became emotional during a recent livestream while speaking about the challenges facing her family.
Jarvis, who gained popularity on the video-sharing platform TikTok for her unique content where she mimics an artificial intelligence robot, broke down in tears as she opened up about her mother’s health condition and her strained relationship with her father.
During the livestream, the influencer revealed that her mother is currently battling an undisclosed illness. According to her, the condition is one that cannot easily be resolved with financial support.
Holding back tears, she explained that the only thing she can do at the moment is pray for her mother’s recovery.
Jarvis also spoke about her efforts to reconnect with her father, a Senegalese man she said she lost contact with when she was still very young.
The streamer added that she had long avoided discussing personal family matters publicly because she feared how social media users might react.
“I have been scared to talk about my family situation because I’m scared of social media,” she said during the emotional broadcast.
